Latest addition to my collection:
But the greatest surprise was free money in the coin box:
Enough there for steak and cheese pies for the whole family.
The person who sold it said it was not powering up and was selling it as is...the ac power from the switch was unplugged and from this:
I got this:
It has a triforce mobo inside with virtua striker 2002 trapped inside the gdrom and netdimm...so that will be the next testing phase.
Also got some dated mvs carts with it as a chuck in because they stuffed up negotiations (not by much):

My first commissioned work for fellow forum member, all in a days work!
I made a jamma interface for the uvc for a fellow forum member.
The setup:
For video, I have the R,G,B,Gnd and H-Sync (since the uvc can output H(C)-Sync via dipswitch) header and a loose V-Sync should he need it. For audio, a female phono jack which he can plug an amplified output signal to.
JAMMA end of business.
Hooked up to JAMMA harness and we have power (whew..)
Beautiful victory!
He is planning to run his uvc in 24KHz mode for his 360 in his new astro city. I think the combination will be smashing.

Versus CITY ready for players!
Finish replacing the panels for street fighter versus style panels and rigged the cabling for the panels as well.
Just need to make a replacement door for player1 side so nobody gets electricuted while playing.

Another SCART to JAMMA and uVC combo and she will be as bright as a rainbow.

Aquired and fully functional SEGA Vs City in action.
Got my hands on one of these and I am happy to report all is going well, except for the control panel, sight and sound is all go.
Fired up my cps2 game and I was greeted with a hadoken:
The main focus on this project is to change out the panels to something more befitting digital control games, pictured here is the analog controller, great for 3D sports games, but not so much arcade games as such:
Old rivals face off in new cabinet..
All I did was to make sure the bottom power supply is powering the AC/DC power supply on the top and presto, all go.
And a video showing the beast in action:
Going to rig up the new control panel for each player and give her a good clean.

The top display can show who is winning and by how many matches, I dont know how to get that bit going...yet.

PC-Engine on the PONY II
I am starting to warm up to the idea of throwing back to 3 buttons games again. Most of the golden age of console gaming happened games with only 2 or 3 buttons predominantly through the megadrive/genesis, pc-engine/turbografx and famicom/nes. Sure arcades (till this very day) has been utilising the same game configuration, but something about home conversions that makes it all the more special.
Daimakaimura on the first video, followed by Wonderboy all on the PC-Engine.

Blast from the past...
Dug up these photos of my NAOMI cabinet with custom yellow monitor mask.
Really should look into making a better mask and with colours, grey is so 90's...

Sorry for the shitty phone camera quality picture, as what everyone will say, the image IS better in person. I did not notice any screen tears, off colour, motion blur or any artifacts while running this game through my emachine netbook and the uVC. The slowdowns may not be emulated propely though...In any case, its a good start to the cabinets new lease in life.
